The Kitt Peak National Observatory was a stop on our way to Oklahoma one summer. It’s located near Tuscon, Arizona. With over twenty optical telescopes and two radio telescopes, it’s one of the largest groups of astronomical instruments in the northern hemisphere. When it was built in 1985 it had the largest solar telescope in the world.
